It's the little things that get you.
Menudo, a stew of chili, pig's feet, cow's stomach, and hominy. I mean, do people really eat that stuff?
They don't want you to know!!!
With the Allies are closing in on his fortified bunker, Adolf Hitler and his corps of elite traverse through an underground tunnel to an isolated airstrip. There they board an unmarked plane and fly
to the south pole. Where they had discovered an
entrance to the Earth's interior. Only later do the Allies discovered that more than 2,000 blond haired, blue eyed women, with massively huge hooters, disappeared with Hitler.
Squirrels, harmless woodland creatures or unearthly killers?
OK, it was just one killer squirrel (hereafter referred to as a "KS"), and it only took on one cyclist. But before you dismiss this incident, consider that this is the second time I had an encounter with one of these nasty beasts. The first time was eight years ago, while descending on skyline Blvd between King's Mountain and SkyL'onda. On one of the fastest straightaways, a KS darted straight out from the side of the road and threw itself right into the right-hand pedal (which just happened to be attached to my right-hand shoe). The force of impact was considerably greater than one might imagine, and a hole was torn in the shoe. Looking back, one could see the KS in its final death throes. The entire event was so unbelievable I wouldn't believe it myself except that someone else I was riding with saw the entire thing.

My next encounter with a KS was on Tuesday, January 8th 1997. Descending King's Mtn Road, just past the park entrance, a KS once again darts out in front of me. This time the KS nearly succeeds in taking me down as I hit it straight on with enough force to break spokes in my front wheel! I was barely able to stay upright. And once I regained control of the bike, I started to pedal as fast as I possibly could. I knew I could not afford to stop as I heard the chattering of hundreds of teeth coming from the side of the road.

Others tell similar tales: "...At 7:15 A.M. on November 25, a young shoe salesman named Thomas Ury was driving along Route 62 just north of the atomic bomb decommissioning site when he noticed a tall, gray manlike figure standing in a field by the road. 'Suddenly it spread a pair of wings,' Ury said, 'and took off straight up, like a helicopter. It veered over my convertible and began going in circles three telephone poles high.'

"He stepped on the gas as the creature zoomed down over his vehicle. 'It kept flying right over my car even though I was doing seventy-five.'

"Mr. Ury sped into Point Pleasant and went straight to the sheriff's office thoroughly panicked. 'I never saw anything like it,' he confided to Mrs. Hyre later. 'I was so scared I just couldn't go to work that day. The thing had a wingspan every bit of ten feet. It could be a bird, but I certainly never saw one like it. I was afraid it was going to come right down right on top of me.'

And another more eerie tale: On September 1 Bert Kearney smelled a "sickening sweet odor in the bedroom." As the smell grew stronger Kearney found that she could not move her lower body. An hour and a half later her husband returned home from work and saw a tall man standing at their bedroom window. Later Mr. Kearney described the man as "dressed in dark clothing and wearing a tight fitting cap." Unfortunately the intruder got away when Mr. Kearney gave chase.

Unrelated incidences, I think not.

Beginning Photography Tips
Make sure you have the correct film for what you're trying to do. For example, 400, a faster speed, is more suitable for action shots than 200. To become more of a photographer than a person snapping pictures, do some slightly different things with your composition. For example, try placing subjects off-center, using natural lines or frames, or taking the picture from a different angle.

Let There Be Light
As this picture demonstrates, lighting can show the glory of the ordinary. For the best results, take pictures in the morning and evenings; the light at dawn and dusk brings depth and softness to objects and people.
